Calculating Distances From UK Post-Codes

This project allows you to calculate the distance, as the crow flies, between two UK postcodes.

This can be used to calculate the distance, or provide a "find your nearest store" facility on your website.

Example

Below is an example of how this project can be integrated. Simply enter a start and end full UK post code:

How Does It Work

You need to go back many years to your school days and recall Pythagoras' Theorem.

Once you know the longitude and lattitude co-ordinates of a pair of post codes, we draw a line between them and form a right-angle triangle (example Victoria and Westminster Underground stations in London - see below).

How the project works

Knowing all but one of the distances, a calculation later and we have the result.

License

The project is available in the form of a PHP script for only £50.00 GBP.

This is a perpetual license, meaning it will never expire. Due to new post codes constantly being introduced, the software is made available on an "as is" basis.
